Many universities have recently declared a climate emergency and are exploring what they can do to reduce the impact of their research activities on the environment. We have been discussing this environmental issue in the Animal Research Nexus team. We have reviewed the list of actions proposed across our different universities. We have identified the following actions that we would like to endorse and enact to reduce our climate change emissions. We may have some way to go before we achieve all of these, and may add more in the future, but we are publishing them now as a contribution to discussions of how to reduce the impact of university research on climate change.
